In case you didn’t know…Coach Steph loves a good smoothie!
Here are two favourite recipes to try, perfect to enjoy in the sun at home or to take with you on the go!
Green Smoothie – refreshing and tastes like summer!
Ingredients
- 2 kale leaves
- 1 handful of spinach
- 5 or 6 fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
- 1 cup pineapple (frozen or fresh)
- 2cm fresh ginger, peeled
- 1/2 cup shredded, unsweetened coconut
Method
- Blend kale, spinach, mint, milk and water until well blended.
- Add the pineapple, lemon, ginger and coconut and blend until smooth.
- Top with coconut or mint leaves
Meal in a Smoothie – delicious, filling, and perfect for recovery post-training!
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 2 kale leaves
- 1 cup coconut or soy milk
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp oats
- 1 tsp peanut butter
Method
- Blend all ingredients until smooth…ie!
