On Friday 5 August a memorial service will be held in Melbourne to celebrate the life of John Cornish.
This event is supported by Tri Alliance, Tribal and John’s close friends and fellow athletes.

MEMORIAL RIDE – 10am
Elwood Lifesaving Club to Black Roack Return – John’s last ride.
There will be a memorial ride leaving from the car park behind Elwood Life Saving Club at 10am on Friday morning.
A Tribal vehicle will lead the riders out – representing the many years John spent training with the club.
A Tri Alliance vehicle will follow the riders – representing the last months of John’s life that he spent coaching and training with the Tri Alliance Squad.
The slow ride will follow Beach Road out to the Black Rock round-about where we will return to Elwood Life Saving Club. This is a total distance of around 22km.
A moment of silence: Everyone will be asked to observe a moment of silence in both directions as we ride past the Brighton Sea Baths. This is an opportunity to take a moment to remember John.
MEMORIAL SERVICE – Noon to 1pm

A memorial service will be conducted from midday until 1pm.
All are welcome to attend and pay your respects.
John’s family will also be in attendance.
