In case you didn’t know…Coach Steph loves a good smoothie!

Here are two favourite recipes to try, perfect to enjoy in the sun at home or to take with you on the go! 

Green Smoothie – refreshing and tastes like summer!

Ingredients 

  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 5 or 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
  • 1 cup pineapple (frozen or fresh)
  • 2cm fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1/2 cup shredded, unsweetened coconut

Method

  1. Blend kale, spinach, mint, milk and water until well blended.
  2. Add the pineapple, lemon, ginger and coconut and blend until smooth.
  3. Top with coconut or mint leaves

 

Meal in a Smoothie – delicious, filling, and perfect for recovery post-training!

Ingredients 

  • 1 banana
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 cup coconut or soy milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp oats
  • 1 tsp peanut butter

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth…ie!
