SANDY POINT HALF MARATHON
The Sandy Point Half Marathon was held along the streets of Melbourne’s iconic bayside, starting at Green Point, Brighton. On Sunday 9 September, the event offered three distances (Half-Marathon, 10k, 5k) and a bonus 3k kids run along Beach Road. Stunning views of Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay helped keep athletes motivated to cross the finish line. We had several athletes participating in this event, most on their way to bigger goals, using the race experience to get in a ‘good’ Sunday long run. Congrats to all those who took to the road, dressed up and smiled their way through the race!

JT UPDATE
Week T-13
A digression: late last year on the afternoon before our first open home, I was rushing to do our final trailer run to the tip to beat the 4pm close. Somewhere between the mad loading and unloading, my wedding ring disappeared. So a few weeks ago Megs and I finally ordered a replacement to be made of the same design, but we decided to replace the middle band with titanium instead of white gold.
This ended up being the day before my bike accident. Fast forward to Friday when we collected the replacement ring, only to realise the irony of now having matching titanium on both the ring and collarbone. Very luxe ?.
The week brought more physio, stair climbs and more intense Zwift sessions (leaving a real adrenaline buzz in their wake).
Next Step: This week has a make-or (pardon the pun) -break checkpoint with X-rays and consults. These will hopefully shed light on whether the road to Busso is paved with cobblestones, or terminated with a concrete barrier.
