Hey Team,

Ollie here with a little dose of reality for some of you. We’ve got races coming up, and I’ve noticed a few of you have been treating your training schedules like a suggestion rather than a commitment. Let’s have a heart-to-heart, shall we?

Consistency: The Key to Not Getting Left Behind

You see, if you’re not consistent with your training, you’re going to get left behind those who put in the work consistently. Gains aren’t made by showing up sporadically; they’re made by showing up day in and day out, even when your bed is calling your name on those chilly Melbourne mornings. You can’t fake fitness, and you certainly can’t cram for a triathlon.

Gains Are Made by Showing Up

Our workouts and sessions aren’t just random. They all have purpose and meaning. Each one builds on the previous one to get you the gains you’re after. It’s like a perfectly baked cake—skip a few ingredients, and you’re left with a mess.

Believe in the Process

Believing in the process is half the battle. Here’s the magic of our program: it’s designed to build you gradually, which is why it doesn’t feel like hard work. But when you look back over a few weeks, you’ll see the improvements and notice how far you’ve come. If you stick to the plan, the process is smoother, more enjoyable, and way less painful.

The Danger of Falling Behind

Once you start missing too many sessions, you’re behind the 8 ball, and playing catch-up is the worst thing you can do. If you don’t build gradually and try to jump in too late, the training spike is aggressive. That’s when you risk injury, burnout, anxiety, a lack of fun, and training feels hard. Trust me, you can’t play catch-up effectively. If you find yourself in this position, come see me. We’ll figure out the best way to manage your goals and expectations.

Training Made Easier and More Fun

Here’s the kicker: training consistently isn’t actually that hard. In fact, it makes the whole process a lot easier and a lot more fun. You get to hang out with your squad, push each other, making the whole journey more enjoyable.

So, consider this your wake-up call. Don’t be the one standing on the sidelines, kicking yourself for not putting in the work when it mattered, or disappointed because you didn’t get the results you wanted from the work you didn’t do. Let’s get back on track and show up for ourselves and each other. The finish line is waiting, and trust me, you don’t want to be left behind—or worse, be injured or burned out trying to catch up.

Catch you at the next session,

Ollie
