WORD FROM THE COACHES
Massive weekend of racing for our Short Course Athletes, with the first race of the Gatorade Sprint, Active Feet Fun Tri and Jelly Belly Tri Kids Events. We had 98 athletes race – our biggest numbers at a Gatorade race ever! We had our first group of close to 50 new athletes go through our 6 week beginners coaching course and the guidance of Coach Bette, and it was great to see them all racing their first race! Read our Race Report and Results including our podium finishers, personal bests, first timers, hard luck stories and more here. And watch our highlights video from the race here:
Also during the week, we had the Hertz Relay Run at Albert Park, and Tri Alliance athletes Xavier Flynn, Tim French and Sarah Grove managed to snare the Mixed Team honours. A great night despite Melbourne’s weather trying to put a dampener on things!
