1. WORD FROM THE COACHES

We are sorry the newsletter has been away but it is now back and better than ever. As you will have seen over the past months we have been hard at work bringing you the all new website and Triathlon network. With a cleaner updated look and feel this content rich portal will serve as your one stop shop for all things Triathlon.

  • Squad and training information
  • Membership management
  • Programming
  • TriShop
  • Triathlon community forum
  • Training Camps
  • Races rated
  • Nutrition
  • Buyswapsell
With the social drive behind this platform we encourage all to ensure their profiles are updated with pictures and info and for you to communicate with others through the messaging capability of the site. In time we will be using the groups function for training buddies and more and more communications will be sent though this.
If you have feedback, comments or are finding things not quite right or how you’d like then please let us know as all feedback is valuable so we can help the continued develop of your portal. Please use the forum on the Tri Alliance Vic Site
In the coming weeks we will bring you more of the great new features of the site.  We are only just getting started with the further development of our coaching software and website apps on the project board. Stay tuned as we bring you more great news.
In other news it’s great to have seen so many of our squad training and racing at various events over the past few weeks. And with only another 5 weeks to Challenge Melbourne and the small matter of the last 2 Gatorade races in-between it’s only going to get busier. A large contingent will be heading down the coast to Portarlington next weekend for a 3 day break with Labour day being a public holiday after the race. Be sure to get your discounted race entry in and we’ll see you down there.
Well done and massive congratulations to those who have already hit their key race in Geelong a couple of weeks back. The conditions were tough on a day that threw pretty much everything at the racers. Coaches were very impressed at the dedication shown of this small group in training and especially come race day.
Other races that athletes have been taking part in include the Sunset running series, Active Tri Race 4 at Sandringham and some far flung events such as the Bass Straight Tri! Commendable efforts by all from those getting a podium to those just getting round or smashing out their own PB.
As we do get to the pointy end of the season please ensure you are checking in with your coaches as cumulative fatigue begins to take it’s toll. We have had a number of discussions with athletes regards injuries and feeling drained and want to get you through without causing burn out or injury. Be smart and listen to your body – sleep and recovery are actually more important than the training itself so take this very seriously. If you are in doubt at all contact your coach for a chat.
Keep up the great work and let’s make the remainder of the season even better than the first half!
