Let us know what your races are and we will ensure you are on the right program training with the right people getting you race ready. Email us at info@tri–alliance.com.au to get on plan.
RACE RECOVERY – We have had many athletes ask regards recovery over the past couple of days with their bodies being tired and sore from the heavy load of race day. To get the best from yourself at sessions, prolong your season and best avoid over training injuries it is crucial recovery comes first in the days after an event. Sleep and nutrition are key elements. So get extra sleep and eat well – yes celebrating with a beer is good but don’t go over-board as it will take longer to get back ready to put in some quality sessions. Regards sessions they should be light and easy without putting extra undue stress on the body – if it hurts or is too hard back it off – you’ll be better off because of it. Also chat with your coach as everyone is different in how they recover and how long it takes. Check this article on TrainingPeaks about recovery practices for endurance athletes.
REMEMBER TAKE REST AND RECOVERY AS SERIOUSLY AS YOU DO YOUR TRAINING!
