CHALLENGE HEILBRONN (SPRINT)
AMAC embarked on a lovely 29hr trip from Melbourne to Frankfurt, and the very next day decided to take part in the Challenge Heilbronn Sprint race. This consisted of a 500m swim, 19km ride and 5.3km run through some beautiful scenery. Heilbronn is a northern city in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, which forms a border with France. Heilbronn is known for its wine industry, so let’s hope AMAC gets to enjoy some of the local’s best! Back to the triathlon, where AMAC finished an impressive 2nd place and only 3 seconds behind first!!!! Let’s blame the jet lag for his accidental run past the finish line turn off, adding another 200m to his event. Well done, AMAC. We’re looking forward to watching you smash out some more PBs this season!
Triatlón MD Salamanca
It was a nice surprise to see our favourite Spaniard and former lovable coach, Hilario Real, pop up in the socials over the weekend! Still representing the TA colours all the way Spain, Hilario took on the half distance at the Triathlon MD Salamanca (Iberian Triathlon Championship) and finished in 4hr 24mins and 9th place. Well done, superstar! We miss you!!!
